They thrive in moist, organic-rich substrates, such as coconut coir or sphagnum moss. Maintaining humidity levels between 70% and 80% is essential, as these springtails require moisture for survival. Regular misting or a small, shallow water dish can help maintain optimal conditions.These beneficial insects are detritivores, feeding on decaying plant matter and fungi. In captivity, they can be provided with a diet of organic leaf litter, Fish Flakes, or specialized springtail food.Orange Springtails are excellent cleaners in bioactive setups, assisting in decomposition and nutrient cycling.
